« There are days when you think you know a thing or two about music and then there are days when you get on a phone call with @skahra_gate. Even after navigating 10-something years in the murky waters of electronic events of all sorts, it’s rare to meet someone with such an intense passion for music, and that becomes very obvious after chatting with him for just a few minutes.
Skahra Gate is a French musician many people will know for regularly holding shows on a wide range of radios, who has released hard-to-define-but-somewhat-experimental debut album Candidat Solitaire on weirdo label Too Soon Tapes, and who holds a personal music blog at anfalas.fr/, which is a must check if only for the yearly TOP ALBUMS OF XXX articles, which will give you a glimpse into his universe and its many, many ramifications.
We feel truly blessed to have him on the show, especially as he has delivered a wild wild journey through many facets of psychedelic music, expertly mixed on 3 decks with an experimental track layer that overlaps with weird incantations and invitations to open up your mind stringed together in the most natural fashion.

Merci à Stanislas pour l’invitation à son très qualitatif podcast Hyperboréal ainsi que pour les mots fort élogieux. Nous sommes rencontrés virtuellement grâce à des diffusions proches sur Radio Sofa. De toute évidence, nos univers matchent. À vrai dire, nos pseudos respectifs ne nous étaient pas inconnus sur Soundcloud. Nous n’y sommes pas si nombreux à nous y intéresser à de la musique électronique psychédélique qui ne soit pas, stricto sensu, de la musique de club.
En tout cas j’ai essayé de faire honneur à cette belle série de mixes avec un set assez dense en textures, qui s’écoute comme un album de psybient ou de post-rock plutôt que comme un dj set classique. La playlist fait la part belle aux psychédélismes de tout poil :
